THIS THING ON?
It certainly has been a while since our last post. We do apologize. Hopefully you’ve been following us on our facebook and twitter pages for the latest news on Graffinis the past few months. Sometimes it’s easier to post things as they happen as opposed to a full blown write up. But now that the dust has settled a bit we intend on being a little bit more vociferous here on The Graffinis Blog.
We recently got back from The Miami Swim Convention where we had the opportunity to meet some fantastic people from the both the retail and designing side of things. There are a lot of new and interesting brands out there and it really is inspiring to see other peoples take on swimwear design.
Prior to the swim show we shot a quick video with the lovely Nashlly Sokoli in some of our new suits for the upcoming 2012 Resort and Summer Collection. One of the suits that are really excited about is the QR Code One Piece. It was basically an idea to take the concept of a QR code and develop it into a print that would make the suit “interactive”. If the QR Code is scanned by a smartphone, iPad or other device it will automatically link you to a promo video “hidden” on our website. See it for yourself below!
In addition to the QR Suit we have also included our MTA One Piece, BWR String Bikini and Sea Glass Bikini which was featured in last February’s Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition into the video. We’re planning on adding more videos and additional suits to the 2012 Collection so you definitely want to stay tuned.
Last but not least we officially debuted our new scarf collection last week in Miami and so far the reaction has been extremely positive. They are our interpretation of our swimwear prints, but modified a bit so that they compliment the suits or any other outfit you would want to wear them with. It’s been a crazy year so far and we look forward to keeping you updated with our latest news. There’s a ton of new stuff on the horizon and we are really excited to be able to share it with you all.

SEA GLASS STRING BIKINI FOR SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
It’s been quite a year for us here at Graffinis H.Q! A lot of good things coming up in the near future. One of the highlights was being featured in this years Sport’s Illustrated Swimsuit Issue. We custom designed a suit specifically for their shoot and they shot it with the amazing Jessica White! Take a look here and here to see the pics online. In the meantime we just released the suit online and it is now available in our online boutique.

CUSTOM SUITS FOR SPORTS ILLUSTRATED
Been pretty busy over here at Graffinis HQ. A lot of really cool projects and announcements coming up in the next few weeks. We’re sending 2010 out with a BANG! Recently, we had the opportunity to design a couple of custom pieces for the upcoming Sports Illustrated.
We met with a couple of their editors this summer at the Miami Swim Show and they wanted us to create suits that were based off inspirations for their specific shoots.
One was for a Sea Glass inspired suit that came from photos of actual sea glass that we collected over the summer. The next suit was an inspiration based off of an adventure and exploration theme. Considering Graffinis is New York based we figured what better way to convey this theme than using a vintage BMT Subway map!
These suits will soon be available for sale on our website later this year. In the meantime check out the pics below!
